Eleni Kalogirou, Developmental Psychologist
Working with children aged 2–12 of typical development, their parents, and parent–child dyads.
I am Eleni, a developmental psychologist fascinated by child development and skill acquisition. I offer an individualised, evidence-based approach to help each child understand their own cognitive, social, and emotional processes — and develop effective, sustainable strategies adapted to their environment.
I also support parents in understanding what their child is capable of at each developmental period and how to best accompany them. I can offer guidance during transitions or when behavioural changes seem out of character.
I am currently completing a PhD in Psychology at the University of Geneva, and have trained in parent coaching and play-based approaches. My approach is scientific and personalised: I search the literature for the best tools for the skills we want to build, and adapt them to each child’s specific needs.
Programs
Each program is grounded in current developmental research and personalised to each child’s needs — for children, parents, or both together.
Training in emotion regulation, relational skills, social thinking, and creativity. Children learn to identify, understand, and manage their emotions, and to navigate social situations with confidence.
Supporting children in building independence across daily life — from routines and decision-making to self-regulation. Parents are guided in how to encourage autonomy while providing the right level of support.
Targeted training in attentional control, working memory, cognitive flexibility, planning, and inhibition — core executive skills that underpin learning and daily functioning at every developmental stage.
Building the skills children need to form and maintain positive peer relationships — reading social cues, communicating assertively, managing conflict, and understanding others’ perspectives.
Guidance and support for children and parents navigating key developmental changes — new school cycles, family changes, or behavioural shifts that may feel puzzling or challenging.
Practical strategies for concentration, organisation, academic stress management, and building self-confidence in learning — helping children feel capable and motivated at school.
